Creative thinkers all have one defining attribute in common and that is they are willing to inquire about all possible options.

I want you to stop right now. Whatever you're doing I want you just to pause for a second and I want you to imagine a world in which everybody looks the same.

They not only look the same, but they are exactly the same. We have the same features. The same eyes, the same nose, the same hairstyle. We all have the exact same characteristics. The same attitude, intellect, emotion, and world views. We look the same. We think the same. We act the same.

What a tragic world this would be if that were the case. We wouldn't have the freedom to make choices for ourselves because there wouldn't be any choices.

We wouldn't be stimulated in any way whatsoever to think differently or try something new, and we would never have the drive or ambition to get ahead because everyone would always be at the exact same level.

Instead of everyone being the same, think about it if was only the people you dated. Every boyfriend or girlfriend looked the same. Every person you've ever went on a date with looks the same.

Think of how boring that would be when it comes to the prospect of choosing your spouse or looking for a date or something like that. How boring would that be?

Those butterflies you feel when you find the right person for you would be gone. How would you know if that person was truly the right one if all your other previous partners had been exactly the same. We would be left with no options.

Why would I be telling you all this?

The world we live in is completely different, thankfully. Each person is different, we are given the opportunity to make choices an a daily basis. Each day those choices we make could take our lives down a completely different path than if we had chosen another option.

As creative thinkers we embrace the opportunities given to us in a free society. All of the choices before us are seen as having great potential because we have the ability to explore all of our options.

Creative thinkers explore many options and every option leads to something new - a new product idea, a new business idea, a new joint venture idea, a new headline idea, a new subject line idea, a new auto responder idea, a new mini course idea - there are so many things that are spawned because we have the opportunity to explore all kinds of new opportunities.

New ideas are ignited from exploring the new, going for different opportunities and possibilities, instead of sticking with the norm. That's what creative thinkers do, go for what will bring new ideas.
